A lifelong NRC member, Matt has competed internationally from junior level to become 3x Olympic medallist, winning gold at Rio 2016. He has now retired from Team GB rowing and is working as a commercial pilot.
Peter is a well- known successful cricketer, having represented Lancashire and England. As a parent of a Northwich junior rower, he is a keen supporter of the youth rowing programme.
After learning how to row at the Grange school as a junior, Emily went on to compete for Newcastle University and Leander Club, winning multiple medals at the U23 World Rowing Championships. She is now training full time with the GB rowing team after being selected in 2018 and has qualified a boat for the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games.
Beginning her rowing career at NRC, Beth is currently a student rower at Oxford Brookes University where she studies sport and exercise science. As well as being a well decorated athlete, as a Junior European Champion in the Women’s 8 and HWR winner, she is also the head coach at Oxford University College Exeter.
After starting rowing as a junior at Warrington Rowing Club, Phil went on to become one of the first ever coaches at the club. He now works as a police officer in Northwich.
