Rowing is a sport which brings out the best in people.
Greater Manchester Youth Rowing is an initiative designed to introduce a diverse range of young people in the Greater Manchester area to the sport of rowing. These youngsters would previously have imagined rowing to be an elitist sport and not accessible to them. At Greater Manchester Youth Rowing we are passionate about introducing more young people to a sport that has long been considered inaccessible and elitist.
Our vision is to help to bring out the best in the young people on our programme, helping them develop a whole range of skills which will serve them well in their future lives. We also aim to improve their self-esteem, self-confidence, resilience and all whilst they’re having loads of fun!
